For this Saturday's Festival from God's hands needs the following items donated if possible... we need ketchup mustard and relish we need shrinky dink printer paper as well as iron on transfer printer paper we also need canned colas diet colas and Sprite or 7up we could also use plastic forks spoons and knives as well as gallons of orange juice and paper plates... I will update all these sites as we receive items or as I'm able to purchase them. thank you

Family fun festival and community yard sale
This Saturday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. from God's hands will be having a fundraiser at Cada Park in Chesnee which is on highway 11 right across the train tracks in Chesnee on the left: you can have a yard sale for just $5 in any of the many spaces in the park, there will be live music, food for sale and lots of games and fun things for everyone... 100 percent of the proceeds from this function go directly into the mouths of hungry children including the after school program at the Bethlehem center in Spartanburg. if you have any questions about this please inbox me or call me at 864 - 208 - 7002

sad choice
As much as we love what we do...From Gods Hands is considering Halting Work Until We Can Regroup and fundraise...today Will be The Last Delivery Of food, Our bank account And Food Closet Is empty...unless We can Get Donations Of either money Or food, we Will be Stopping For the Summer. Any Help Is appreciated!

angry at myself today
I was delivering today's meals to the Bethlehem center and passed a man on a bicycle with every possession he owned on the handlebars...as I passed him I watched him fall, he wrecked his bicycle and everything he owned fell to the ground. It occurred to me as I got to the next red light that I Should have stopped and helped him...so I turned around and went back to where I saw him fall, But he was gone.
As I got back in gear and headed toward downtown, it occurred to me that I was in such a hurry to get these meals to these children and then get to work, that I missed an opportunity to help someone in need...
I feel like sometimes as human beings as a church and a community we tend To get so wrapped upin doing the right thing that we don't stop to do what's right...every person we come into contact with in some way probably needs to be lifted up, so today I'm going to make an extra special effort to treat everyone as if they just fallen off their bike.
Maybe I'll be able to make someone feel likeI got their back...

small examples and 500 loves.
I was told this past Sunday morning that the word love appears in the Bible more than 500 times ... Wow! What an amazing piece of information to know and to share !I saw that love manifest itself when 12 people gathered around the large table and prepared food for others without thought of themselves ... Many years ago 12 people gathered around such a table to experience the gift of food from the Lord .
I was also ask this past Sunday if I thought it was possible to be right with other people if we were not right with God. That question might be hard for some of us to answer but I believe they go hand in hand. I was raised to believe,that without God in our heart we could not be trusting in others, we could not have hope and we certainly could not have faith. Its faith hope and trust that Are key ingredients in friendship and love, so it's safe to say that without being right with God we cannot experience true friendship and love.
God is the beginning and ending in our lives, the foundation of our relationships here on earth and the bringer of Grace in heaven and on earth.
Spartanburg South Carolina is such an interesting town, this morning as I made my delivery to the Bethlehem center I begin to think about my church and this city and how much I really love being here. It occurred to me that my vision of Spartanburg County might be slightly skewed. There are in fact many people in this city and this county that not only don't have time to view the area as I have but who are now or have already become so unhappy that they have lost hope that life will get any better,they have lost trust in our fellow human beings and worst of all, they have lost faith in God.
Being right with God comes with ,in my opinion ,many responsibilities.service to our community and its people is one of those responsibilities; it is also the one I have chosen to embrace.
Being right with God give me the chance to not only help some of those people that may have lost their faith, but it also gives me the chance to help change or adjust the anger or lack of faith that might be festering in the children in our area. giving a child that might not have any other opportunity to eat ,a meal, Is a small example of the goodness that God can bring forth. A bottle of water on a hot day is another small example, a basketball for recently renovated gym floor or pat on the back for getting A, even a free warm blanket on a cold night, All small examples.
These are all small examples of what we as individuals in this community have the power and the reach to offer.

Outreach is a big n special word to me, when I imagine the word outreach I imagine arms wide open embracing everyone with in reach I also imagine outreach as full hands helping empty hands and big hearts helping Heavy hearts.
I'm going to leave you today with one final thought ...
1 small example of outreach can change the faith , the future and the personality of a child for the rest of their life.
Be the example and the change that you want to see in Spartanburg.
